Fennimar the Arch-Druid visits Zakonik while he is still in Ilarosa, and advises him that the time has come to discover and unleash his inner self.
Following Fennimar's instructions, Daedrie opens a portal to the Menhir Circle in the far North. There, the heroes visit a barbarian village, apparently inhabited by the same Athun-worshipping tribe to which the Emperor of Aduria himself, Cnaiur, once belonged.
The barbarians seem to be angered by the Emperor's actions, and prompt the heroes to travel further to face the Beast. As the local shaman tells them, only after defeating the Beast will they be recognized as Champions of the Tribe, and only by eating the heart of the Beast will Zakonik unleash the powers of a true Frenzied Berserker.
The heroes spend a long season in the wilderness, to get a better connection to their wilder selves. As Zakonik falls more and more into savagery, eventually the heroes reach a cave near the Spine of the World, a huge mountain chain at the Edge of Tyrrah.
There, they face dire, feral beasts, led by a huge Minotaur, wielding an enormous axe made from dragon bones.
They defeat the beasts, and Zakonik claims the axe, and the heart of his enemy.
The heroes return to the barbarians, and are hailed as Champions.
