Chapter 5 - Leaving Winterhaven (Thunderspire Labyrinth - Part 1)

In Winterhaven, they reunite with the Legion of the Red Gauntlet. After enjoying a deserved rest, the heroes report to the General, who hails their courage.

But trouble is not over in Winterhaven. Referring to the scroll found by the group in Shadowfell Keep, lord Padraig reminds them that the Bloodreavers, an hobgoblin tribe of slavers, are still a menace. Lord Padraig asks the heroes to travel to Thunderspire Mountain, where it seems the Bloodreavers have bussiness relationship with a clan of Duergar, a devilish branch of dwarves.

After acepting the task, the heroes meet a local merchant, Bairwin Wildarson, who asks them to bring an ancient tiefling dagger to one of his contact into Thunderspire Mountain, Gendar the Drow, more precisely into the Seven-pillared Hall, a neutral trade outpost in between the Darklands and the Underdark.

Neri meets with Valthrun, who requires herto bring back from this expedition some Minotaur relics, since apparently this ancient race was the founder of the mythical Labyrinth.

The group leaves Winterhaven, and on their way they pass by Rivendown, a small hamlet on the ancient dwarven trade route. There they meet Sister Linora, a priestess of the Light, who begs them to release her villagers who have been taken slaves by the Bloodreavers.

The heroes reaches the Minotaur Gate, the entrance to Thunderspire Labyrinth.
